“IQ” is an AI-powered character and learning assistant and is not a human.

BrightIQ provides:

BrightIQ is not a school, not a replacement for a teacher, and does not guarantee academic outcomes.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
a. Age & Parental Consent
BrightIQ AI Tutor may be used by individuals under the age of 13 only with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
By creating an account for a child, the parent or guardian:
- Represents that they have legal authority to do so
- Accepts responsibility for the child’s use of the Service
- Agrees to these Terms on the child’s behalf
b. Account Responsibility
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and current information
- Maintain the security of your login credentials
- Notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
BrightIQ AI Tutor is offered as a paid subscription service.
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Subscription fees are billed in advance
- All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or required by law
We reserve the right to change pricing or features with reasonable notice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use BrightIQ responsibly and lawfully.
You may not:
- Use the Service for illegal or harmful purposes
- Attempt to exploit, reverse engineer, or disrupt the platform
- Upload content that is abusive, threatening, explicit, or infringing
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others
- Use the Service to generate harmful, deceptive, or unsafe content
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. AI Tutor Limitations
BrightIQ AI Tutor:

- Does not provide professional, legal, medical, or psychological advice

You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content should be reviewed and verified

6. User Content & AI Interactions
You retain ownership of content you upload (such as homework, PDFs, or prompts).
By using the Service, you grant BrightIQ a limited license to:
- Store, process, and analyze content as needed to operate the platform
- Temporarily retain AI conversations to support functionality and quality
We do not claim ownership over your personal learning materials.
7. Intellectual Property
All platform content, including:
- Software
- Design
- Branding
- Logos
- AI character “IQ”
- Text, graphics, and features
are the property of BrightIQ or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, distribute, or reuse BrightIQ materials without written permission.
8. Termination
You may stop using BrightIQ at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- These Terms are violated
- Use creates risk or harm to users or the platform
- Required by law or security concerns
Termination does not relieve you of payment obligations incurred prior to termination.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
BrightIQ AI Tutor is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We make no warranties regarding:
- Accuracy of AI responses
- Academic outcomes
- Continuous availability of the Service
Use of the Service is at your own discretion and risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- BrightIQ and its owner shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service during the prior 12 months
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions may not apply to you.
